Recent email from reps at Segway Inc conclude: Some call you all "law breakers" but I like to use another term -
"pioneers". Your use of the technology on a daily basis is showing that
it's a real solution for transportation in urban settings. With your
continued support we'll get the state law and then turn our attention to
a plan of action in New York City.

Senate bill S07509, House bill A11429 Provides for the operation and
use of electric personal assistive mobility devices operated outside a
city with a population of one million or more on roadways; authorizes
local governments to further regulate the use thereof;
provides that use thereof in cities having a population over 1,000,000
(NYC) shall be prohibited.

The NYPD officer Hart of 13th Pct. has been giving tickets to many Segway owners, but this week he gave two tickets to a disabled man with MS who was on the sidewalk and crossing at a light.
see details. Also a new bill in the NY State Assembly will make Segways illegal if passed.

Itsi Atkins found 12 hours of great music, a sold out crowd of dedicated fans and plenty of GREEN with 52,000 attendees. A top ticket costing over $600 to support our planet's "climate in crisis". Plenty of overpriced beer and water at $4.00 per 9 oz bottle. The concerts brought together more than 150 of the world's most popular music acts and drew an estimated worldwide audience of 2 billion people, making it one of the largest global events in history.

Sure looks like it. The carmaker is displaying the Segway-on-steroids looking I-Unit concept at the New York International Auto Show.

This large two-wheeled gyroscope can be spun and adjusted in various ways to demonstrate surprising gyroscopic effects. Discover that, once the gyroscope is set spinning, its orientation will not change no matter how the table is turned. Gyroscopes can be very perplexing objects because they move in peculiar ways and even seem to defy gravity.
